Engines / Generators:

The Sigil is the first armed ship of the Shadow, but it will only be able to target freighters. It is fast enough to do this. Unfortunately its scanners are very poor and rely on the Signs to find any targets at all. Their Warp Signature helps them to be somewhat stealthy.
The main purpose of the Sigil, however, is to use its Base Frequency Seal Device. Without this Device all Shadow planets would eventually blow up. You will want to use this cheap ship that comes in numbers to keep the Delta Stress from increasing the HD Stress. To keep a Planet with a Gate together, however, you need 5 Base Frequency Seals and the Sigil is probably too easy to kill to be reliable. Better use the Moloch or even Black for your Gates.
